i am ict and business head of department at kirkby
college in nottinghamshire. my first degree is in human
resources and business and i have a number of subsidiary
modules in computer science, along with my pgce in business
and economics. i also have experience in delivering
media studies up to a-level.
prior to education, i have worked in a number of fields,
including time as:
- a computer and networking consultant, trading under
my own business name;
- an industrial recruitment consultant for a national
firm;
- a contact centre technical advisor and then trainer
for an international computer and electrical retailer;
- a radio station manager for KUBE FM; and
- a nightclub DJ.
i enjoy listening to and making music, current affairs,
cosy nights in and extravagant nights out, and working
and playing with computers. web design is a small part
of this, but a hobby nonetheless. i do not design sites
for profit, though i have and will create selected sites
for commercial operatons where i see a wider benefit
in doing so (for example: personal, friends, family
and educational).
